The title, meaning Seaweeds, is suggestive of the watery, blue-green textures that predominate in this work, written by a French composer who is also a harpist of note. The piece consists of seven brief but haunting movements: the keys of G minor and F major predominate in the first five, but the tonality moves to A minor for the last two movements.
